Couture queen Daphne Guinness is getting her own exhibit at the Fashion Institute of Technology!
For those wondering why, FIT explains:
“Because she is fearless about wearing the most extreme clothes and shoes, but is no mere clothes horse. Because she is a serious collector of couture, who is also a creative force in her own right. Because she is an extraordinary individual whose perspective on fashion is unique and important.”
The exhibit will feature 100 pieces from Daphne’s own wardrobe including pieces by Alexander McQueen, Azzedine Ala├â┬»a, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, John Galliano for Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Rick Owens, Gareth Pugh, Valentino as well as her own designs.
Daphne’s exhibit kicks off September 16th and runs through January 7th.
