NASA has discovered a completely new life form in a bacteria whose DNA is completely alien to what we know today!
The bacteria, discovered in Mono Lake, CA, doesn’t share the biological building blocks of anything currently living in planet Earth.
All life on Earth is made of six components: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and sulfur, but THIS bacteria uses arsenic instead of phosphorus.
No details have been disclosed about the origin or nature of this new life form, but NASA will official announce their findings at a press conference at 2pm EST.
Sure, this life form hasn’t been found on any other planet, but this changes everything we know about biology and the possibility of finding beings in other planets that don’t have to be like planet Earth.
This discovery comes on the heels of the announcement that a massive number of red dwarf stars, which may harbor a trillion Earths are out there, increasing our chances of finding extraterrestrial life!
Maybe planet Earth just got lost from the heard millions of years ago and there is a whole intergalactic space civilization of other planet earths out there with beings made out of arsenic!
