Nutritionists recommend getting in 10,000 steps a day. Unfortunately, Americans suck at reaching that goal.
According to a recent study, Australia comes out on top, averaging 9,695 steps a day, and Switzerland ranks in at number two with 9,650 steps a day.
Where’s America on this scale? 5,117 steps a day.
WTF?! That’s not even close to the top!
10,000 steps is the equivalent of about 5 miles, so it’s no easy feat making it there on an average day, but you should try! If you think you may be slacking off, try working up to 10,000 over time. Buy a pedometer and start tracking your steps. Add a few hundred every week until you make it to 10,000!!
