Cat fashion meow wear
Dayum! Work it!
Recently pet fashionista Carla Reiss began making cat clothing. Her company called “Meow-Wear” makes and sells ready-to-wear couture feline fashions and accessories. The line offers everything from stretchy collars to special occasion harnesses to kitty jewelry.
While Reiss understands that owners love to pamper their pets and dress them up, finding it funny, she is also understanding of the cat’s perspective,

“I’m not advocating that animals habitually wear clothing. It’s more for a photo opportunity. It’s a chance to put some fashionable elements on your pet for special events, photographic moments, the family holiday card, whatever suits your fancy. But I’m not suggesting that the clothing be used 24/7. When the photo session is over, the pajamas come off.

We agree! It’s got to be fun for the owner, but we don’t want to torture our poor pets!
Ever since beginning her pet-friendly fashion design, Reiss’ designs have gotten more and more extravagant. Two of her latest creations are her favorites: a ballerina costume that took two days to make, and a Mad Hatter cat costume that is an exact replica of the one worn by Johnny Depp in the Alice in Wonderland movie.
“I like to make them more and more over-the-top. It’s a crowd-pleaser,” says Reiss.
We have to say, some of the looks aren’t for us, but we know someone out there would love to dress their kitties up.
As for the Johnny Depp Mad Hatter costume, does it come in doggie size? Teddy would look FABOOSH in it! Can you say Halloween idea?!
