Seals can heave a sigh of relief…for now!
Today, Canadian Senator Mac Harb will formally introduce a bill to end commercial seal slaughter in Canada.
Russia, who imported 95 percent of Canada’s seal pelts has now banned the trade, meaning that there isn’t a market for seals anymore.
No market means no more seal hunting!
Harb’s bill will introduce sustainable economic programs to sealing regions.
Now it’s up to supporters to help the cause!
