Will.i.am, the producer in charge of Brit-Brit’s eighth album, is going ALL OUT to make sure her music will be her most personal yet!!
As will.i.am requested, the two have been hanging out and getting to know each other romantically personally for MONTHS before the recording even starts!!!
Will.i.am said the following about his unusual strategy:
“We start next week. Before we even start we’ve had these juicy sessions, where we’ve been bonding, building the trust and comfort. I’ve never worked like this before ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ not even the Peas.”
Sounds INTENSE! Will’s pulling out allllll the stops for this one!!
But at the same time, maybe all producers should take the time to get to know their artists this well!!
There’s a clear method behind Will’s genius, and he explains it as follows:
“I wanted to just go to lunch for two months, which is totally different from how you typically do it. I said, ‘Let’s talk about what you’re excited about. Let’s talk about things you’ve done in you career, what you’re happy about. Let’s talk about spending time with your kids, let’s talk about your breakup. Let’s talk about how now you’re single, how independent you might feel.’ We started talking about all that stuff. So I said, ‘do you mind if I write this down? I don’t mean to impose but I want to interview you. I need this to create a filter.'”
We’d love to get our hands on THOSE notes, ha!! Sounds like Will.i.am is in charge of writing Brit-Brit’s Dear Diary, LOLz!!!
These two seem to know what they’re doing; we can’t WAIT to hear what all this bonding leads to!!
