It’s officially official! Ellen DeGeneres is hosting the 2014 Oscars!
The TV hostess with the mostest has announced via Twitter that she has just finalized a deal to host next year’s ceremony! She tweeted:
It's official: I'm hosting the #Oscars! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra.

Yay! We so support this decision! Ellen was so HIGHlarious back in 2007, and everyone loves her! Especially producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron! They said in a press release:
“We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars. As a longtime friend, we had always hoped to find a project for us to do together and nothing could be more exciting than teaming up to do the Oscars. There are few stars today who have Ellen├óΓé¼Γäós gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere and we expect that the audience at the Dolby Theatre, and in homes around the globe, will be as excited by this news as we are.”
As for Ellen herself, she’s so stoked, she’s at a loss for funny comments! She said:
“I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ the third time├óΓé¼Γäós the charm.”
Ha! Guess she found the funny after all! Come on, gurl! What could go wrong? Oh no! We totes just jinxed it! Everyone knock on gold! LOLz!
