Can’t other couples take a note from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and settle their divorces before the public even has a chance to say, “I wonder how messy this divorce will be?”
While we thought Jane Lynch‘s divorce with Lara Embry was going to be smooth sailing, their breakup boat just took a turn into a nasty, money-covered lake!
Lara has apparently filed docs claiming she wants some MAJOR – and we mean MA-JOR – spousal support after being wed to Jane for three years. In fact, she’s asking for $93,809 per month in support.
That is NOT a typo. Per month NOT per year!
Lara is claiming Jane’s “income, investments and assets increased dramatically with her newfound acting success” compared to when they first got married where Jane claimed she had $400,000 in savings and her 401k combined.
Now, it seems Lara wants to maintain that cushy lifestyle she became accustomed to as Jane often paid for everything.
But it seems Jane is already kind of paying out as she’s moved out of her home to allow Lara and her daughter to stay there. It sounds like Lara might actually want that house for good, not just a temporary stay…or, she might seek half of the cost of the house!
And since the two do not have a prenuptial agreement, some of Jane’s money might end up in Lara’s pockets! Whatever has been accumulated during their marriage could be split 50/50.
If Jane DOES lose all that money to her former wifey, guess it’ll at least guarantee she’ll have to be on Glee forever!
