Debbie Gibson knows a thing or two about pop music ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ seeing as she was the IT girl of the ’80s ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ so we’ll welcome her opinion of the pop princesses of today like Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift, but we’re not sure we 100 percent agree!
Debbie sat down with Bethenny Frankel to dish about the mini divas, and while she’s totez into Miley’s twerk and tongue wag, she’s not so keen on Swifty’s grace and poise.
In fact, it sounds like Debbie wishes Tay was a bit more like Miley.
The Lost In Your Eyes singer said:
“Taylor reminds me a bit of me in that I was always worried about what other people thought. Years of therapy later, I’m here to tell Taylor to break it down, be a bit more raw, and don’t worry so much about what other people think. The thing is with Miley ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ now, obviously I don’t want her to get into trouble, trouble ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I like that she’s being authentic. She’s being a normal 20-year-old, and there’s something oddly healthy about that. And if you don’t like it, change the channel.”
And just….NO.
Everyone has their rightful place in the biz, but we definitely don’t want to see our country cutie near-nekkid and slapping a$$es on stage.
We LOVE Tay and Miley JUST the way they are, but to each their own, we guess! LOLz!
