We know Lena Dunham is a fangirl of the hit ABC show Scandal by her Olivia Pope obsessed tweets—but who knew the Girls creator has been pining to guest star on the D.C centered series!
Sweet Fitzgerald “Fitz” Thomas Grant III, it’s perfect!!!
During a recent interview, the actress gushed about playing a special role on the Shonda Rhimes created political drama:
“Basically, my life’s great passion is the idea of being a guest star on Scandal. I want to be like, a senator who did something wrong—playing a really evil character, it would be really fun.”
But like Operation Remmington—Lena faces some complications to live out her live’s passion!
She’s unfortunately contracted to HBO, which doesn’t Fitzgerald grant her access to appear on the ABC series!

We’d totally love to see Lena play something different (bestiez with Cyrus Beene, perhaps), especially since the character Hannah is basically her in television form.
A little Oliva-style variety would be nice, don’t you think?!
