Ellen DeGeneres loves Pharrell Williams and Pharrell Williams loves Ellen DeGeneres!
And quite frankly, we love ’em both!
Pharrellen (oo, we like that!) got together yesterday to discuss his unbelievably successful year that the R&B superstar says started right on Ellen’s show!
Long before we all were bouncing and bopping to the beat of his hit song Happy, Pharrell told E.D. that she was the first person to ask him perform it live on TV, over a year ago!
Ellen replied:
“Well…how do you not love that song?!”
Agreed!
And how do you not love a guy whose new album G I R L is a tribute to women?!
Pharrell went off on anyone who doesn’t respect the sex that we all are born from, including politicians who fight to control women’s bodies!
He remarked:
“We’re a species that has a space station floating above the Earth for 20 years. We even have a rover on the surface of Mars. How can we be the same species that is telling people…we have legislators and legislation in places, in certain places that tells women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. How is that possible?!”
Amen, brother!
The respect rant continued with Pharrell then standing up for gay marriage!
├óΓé¼┼ôYou├óΓé¼Γäóll be surprised but when I say equality, I mean equality for everybody! Everybody! Who are you telling who they can marry and who they can’t? What is this? Like├óΓé¼┬ªthis is 2014!├óΓé¼┬¥
We love this guy! And we love him even more with his now signature hat!
But Ellen explained to Pharrell that his hat has sort of lost its shock value. It’s time for him to up the size of his chapeau!
So, she brought out her gift for him – a four-foot tall hat!
Only problem is, when he first got it, he put it in his lap and it looked like…
Well, let’s just say that’s either a very large hat or the biggest boner the world has ever seen!
