Archie From The Comics Is Going To Be Shot To Death! But You'll Never Guess Why!

Not Archie Andrews! Why? Why him?! Take us instead!!
The titular character of Archie is going to die by taking a bullet!
But before you sob slowly into the nearest comic book, know that Archie’s death is going to be an act of heroism.
When Archie’s openly gay friend (the first one of the series too) Kevin Keller is about to be killed by an assassin, Archie jumps in the way of the bullet’s path and saves him!
This is what Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO, had to say about his noble death:

“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie. He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”

What a selfless act to go out on! Way to go, Archie.
We’ll for sure miss him, but we think that it’s a beautiful death for a pretty excellent hero.
