This is one dark-looking superhero show!
Usually DC movies (The Dark Knight, Man Of Steel) are the dark and gritty ones while Marvel keeps it lighter and more colorful.

But it looks like they’re doing the exact opposite with their first Netflix show Daredevil.
Just check out the first photos (above) of the Man Without Fear’s costume!
Based on an origin story from the comic books, this Matt Murdock will be wearing a thrown-together black ninja outfit long before he puts on the red tights.
Too bad, because it looks like star Charlie Cox could maybe fill them out nicely…
Showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, whom you may know from his ultraviolet Starz original Spartacus, confirms that dark is the intent– but don’t expect things to get as hardcore we’ve come to expect from Netflix originals like Orange Is The New Black.
He says:
“It’s a little grittier and edgier than Marvel has gone before, but we’re not looking to push it to extreme violence or gratuitous nudity.”
No gratuitous nudity? Again, too bad!
