Say it ain’t so!
Jesse Eisenberg certainly did not have a fun time at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend. Why, you may ask?!
On Monday, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star in an interview described the popular event in less than flattering words.
He stated:
“It is like being screamed at by thousands of people. I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”
Yikes!

The controversial remark was met with heavy criticism (below) on Twitter.
I feel like Jesse Eisenberg doesn’t grasp the definition of genocide. Can someone direct him to some history books por favor?

To be fair, we can only imagine how overwhelming it must be to play one of DC‘s most famous villains and be surrounded by that many superfans.
Nonetheless, the 31-year-old does seem appreciative of his fans — despite the fact he’s thrilled he won’t have to return until next year.
He explained:
“The movie was received well. That’s why we go. You get to leave relatively unscathed and it’s at least a year before you have to do anything like that again.”
