The 19-year-old is aptly posing for Mane Addict‘s Mane Muse spread sporting a wide array of different ‘dos.
And considering the past controversy with her dreads at the Oscars, we think this is a perfect fit!

The actress goes from sleek, straight locks to a Diana Ross-esque look, and even a high top fade, like Grace Jones‘! Oh, and she even speaks of the women she looks up to:
“I love people who take risks and do their own thing, [like] Erykah Badu because she is effortlessly amazing, or Janet [Jackson] for sure]. I think we all want to channel our inner Janet.”
Though the theme of the shoot went even further than that, with Zendaya’s stylist, Larry Sims, saying:
“The theme of the shoot felt like going through different decades of beauty. Zendaya is fearless. She’s a creator’s dream. Inspired by Cher, we wanted to create the bone straight, parted down the middle, chic vibe. It could be described as a modern day Janis Joplin. We kind of did a version of this at the AMA’s a few years back when she wore an all-white ensemble, but we haven’t revisited it for quite a few years.”
And in another shot, you’ll see Z with enviable, voluminous tresses inspired by Brooke Shields! She even confessed:
“Trying new things [is when I feel most confident]. I love doing something that people haven’t seen in a certain setting.”
We love seeing you pull them off, girl! Keep killing it!
