This is just awful!
On Monday, it was revealed that while Lamar Odom was fighting for his life at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas earlier this month, employees of the facility attempted to snap photos of the NBA star. In fact, it’s said that some even attempted to collect info from his medical records — which happens to be in direct violation with the HIPAA rules.
Yikes!

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this has happened to an A-lister as Lammy’s sister-in-law Kim Kardashian West and Britney Spears had their privacy violated during past hospital stays. Of course, the workers involved in those situations were fired and rightfully so.
And it seems in this similar controversy, the employees at Sunrise Hospital who took part in the scandal have been let go as well. Good riddance!
The hospital noted:
“We take all patient privacy very seriously and follow all HIPAA policies in compliance with federal regulations.”
It’s unfortunate that situation happened at all — but at least they’re doing the right thing now.
In a bit of good news, Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian‘s estranged husband is currently at the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in El Lay and under 24/7 security detail. Phew!
We wish Lamar the speediest of recoveries (and privacy) during this particularly trying time.
