She practically radiates!
Despite her all-American good looks, and the fact that she pretty much fits the Hollywood standard to a T, the 26-year-old has had her fair share of body-shaming from movie industry execs.
So f*cked up!!!
Read on as she comes clean about the illusion that is Hollywood and more:
On unrealistic beauty standards in the industry: “I was just told I was too fat for a part. I’m a size 2! I cried for 30 minutes, but then you have to let it roll off your shoulders or it could cause a serious eating disorder. A lot of people in this industry hear they need to lose weight more times than they should. It does make you stronger, though. Because if you let that affect you, you can’t be in this industry├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥you’d go crazy.”
On speaking out against Photoshop:
“I saw photos from a shoot of myself just the other day and thought, What the hell? That doesn’t even
look like me! I was so disappointed. I hate to think that girls are like, ├óΓé¼╦£She’s so skinny! Her skin is so perfect!’ I have pimples just like they do. I wanted to show people I’m not per├é┬¡fect├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥no one is.”
On the upcoming Pretty Little Liars season:
“Hanna has graduated col├é┬¡lege and has moved on. She’s in a new relationship and is engaged. She’s very confident in who she is. She works in fashion now and is the most successful out of all of the girls. There’s going to be twists and turns in her new relationship, and Caleb’s going to be there. He’s very much a part of her life. Fans are going to be surprised at how everything has turned out, but I think it will be a fun journey for them.”
On handling success at such a young age:
“I definitely see why some people can go a little nuts. Being successful at such a young age├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥and I feel I never got to that level, but I’ve seen friends who have├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥is very dif├é┬¡ficult because you’re being told yes a thousand times more than you’re being told no. You’re making a lot of money, there are a lot of tempta├é┬¡tions, and there are no consequences no matter what you’re doing.”
On unfounded rumors:
“I’ve known Taylor [Lautner] since he was 12 years old, and he’s one of my best friends, and Nat [Wolff] is a good friend, too. Every time [the press says I’m dating one of my friends], we text each other like, ├óΓé¼╦£Ugh, did you see this?’ It’s almost a joke at this point. The press makes every├é┬¡one’s life out to be much more exciting than it really is. Trust me.”
On her film Spring Breakers:
“Since I’ve never been to college, I was asking everyone, ├óΓé¼╦£Is this what spring break is really like?’ But most of the people in the back├é┬¡ground shots were really there on spring break, so all of that making out and getting naked was real. Once I read Spring Breakers, I felt like I had to do it, because I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, and I wanted people to see a different side of me. I knew I was taking a risk, but I didn’t think it was one that would damage my career.”
On not being a party animal:
“It’s fun to have drinks with friends, but I would never want to do anything that would sabotage my career. I’d rather have din├é┬¡ner and drinks at someone’s house than go batshit crazy in public. It’s not my scene.”
On partying with Selena Gomez:
“I flew there for a photo shoot once and brought Selena Gomez with me. We hung out on a yacht, then went to the Ultra Music Festival [where she was photographed with Ellie Goulding and Skrillex], and stayed out all night. I don’t think you could ever get bored in Miami.”
True, that!
