Meghan Markle Tells Teens About Her First Job!

Meghan Markle Young First Job

Meghan Markle may be a Royal now, but she has not forgotten where she came from.
As part of their Australian trip, the Duchess and hubby Prince Harry spoke with teens from the In League In Harmony project on Thursday.
Meghan addressed the kids frankly, speaking about her own upbringing — including her early, less glamorous jobs!

Reporter Hannah Furness of the Daily Telegraph was there and quoted Meghan as responding to a teen telling her about his job:

“My first job when I was 14. I remember taking out the trash, all sorts. It gives you a good work ethic, right?”

Taking out the trash! Been there!
We’re not sure, but she was probably talking about Humphrey Yogart, the Hollywood-themed frozen yogurt shop in Sherman Oaks where she is known to have worked.
There’s definitely something moving about the image of a 14-year-old Meghan sweating it out hefting a gross bag of melted fro-yo, having no idea about the Royal future awaiting her.
Later, at Macarthur Girls School in New South Wales, girls revealed their female empowerment projects, including making boxes of necessities to deliver to police stations and refuges for women in need.
Meghan really made a connection, telling the girls:

“You guys all remind me so much of myself when I was growing up. I went to an all girls school which was incredibly diverse as well. I think being around such empowered young women, it becomes something that you all just grasp onto to understand your world.
It’s made you confident, well-spoken. You have an intention set to really do something to change the world, and you have to keep it up. It makes me so emotional. You’re doing really, really good work and I’m so happy that we’re here. We give you our full support.”

Harry backed her up, saying:

“Don’t stop. Get more people involved, guys as well.”

Charming, eh?
Frankly, we think Meghan is KILLING IT at this!
What do YOU think??
