What a ding-dong! (Sorry, dad humor! LOLz!)
Authorities in Salinas, California are trying to track down a man for what may be the most unusual crime we’ve ever seen.
Police say Roberto Daniel Arroyo was captured by surveillance cameras while lurking outside the home of a family in the Rossi Rico neighborhood.
And, well… licking the doorbell.
For three hours.
We just… don’t know.

It’s less giggle-inducing when you know the homeowners were not at home — but their children were!
Sylvia Dungan told KION:
“You kind of laugh about it afterwards because technically he didn’t do anything. This just kind of reinforces how important it is to have security within your home.”
Thankfully no harm was done — though we’d probably replace that doorbell button…
Police identified 33-year-old Arroyo from the video and say he could face two misdemeanor charges for theft and prowling.
They then cautioned everyone the best way not to invite further transgressions was to cover up their knockers.
