David Spade is developing an animated version of his 2001 box office bomb Joe Dirt for TBS.
TBS executive VP of programming Michael Wright explains:
├óΓé¼┼ôDavid Spade is a hugely popular comic talent who has created a funny, yet lovable, character in Joe Dirt. We look forward to seeing how he and his fellow writers and producers take this character in new directions as TBS continues exploring the world of primetime animation.”
This just scream failure to us!
Joe Dirt is the third animated program in development at TBS along with Neighbors from Hell and Good and Evel.
Seriously, did anyone even go see the movie when it was in theaters?!
