Adele Gets Real About Severe Back Injury During Las Vegas Concert -- OUCH!

Adele Gets Real About Her Severe Back Problems Amid Las Vegas Residency -- OUCH!

Back problems are no joke.

Unfortunately, Adele knows that all too well, as she explained during her Las Vegas residency. For months, she’s been dealing with daily pain and agony that comes with posterior problems. Ugh!

The 34-year-old singer is on the back end of her Sin City performance schedule. She started this Weekends With Adele residency back in November of last year at the Caesars Palace Colosseum. Now, she’s only got a few months left to go, and she’s trying to finish strong. But there’s an unfortunate catch: her back isn’t doing her any favors.

The Rolling In The Deep singer took a break during a recent concert to tell the audience all about it. She lamented to fans, per the Evening Standard:

“Is anyone else kind of my age starting getting bad knees? I have got really bad sciatica in my left leg and my L5 disc is not f**king there anymore. It’s worn away.”

Oh no!!

Vertebrae injuries are no joke. Compressed nerves lead to serious issues on the outside of the leg, and painful sensations in the foot. Numbness, weakness, and long-standing pain are all part of that process.

For Adele, that’s a big deal due to the physical demands of her residency. And the problem has been going on for a while. Back in September of last year, the Hello singer spoke to Elle about slipping a vertebra in January of 2021 after son Angelo Adkins jumped out to “scare me as I came out of the bathroom.” What was just a harmless prank by her beloved boy turned into the serious injury.

But Angelo’s prank wasn’t the only thing causing issues for the beloved British songstress. In a November 2021 interview with The Face, Adele explained she first slipped a disc as a 15-year-old after a rough sneeze. Then, following a C-section at Angelo’s birth, her weakened core contributed to more back problems.

From then to now, these last few years have been quite an injury journey for the recording artist. We hope it gets better soon. Never-ending back pain like this is a seriously debilitating struggle! Hopefully she’ll still be able to complete her 32-show performance run at Caesar’s!

We also appreciate her candor on the subject. It’s so great for a big star to remind everyone that celebs are dealing with the same aging issues as everyone else. Even A-listers can have L5 probs!
