According to court records obtained by TMZ, on Thursday, the Someone Like You singer filed for divorce from her estranged husband. Per People, she submitted the legal papers in Los Angeles, California.

Back in April of this year, the songstress’ representatives, Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh, confirmed the couple’s separation, adding, “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”
The musician and the charity entrepreneur have been together for more than 7 years, and share six-year-old son, Angelo.
During a concert in Brisbane, Australia in March 2017, the Grammy winner confirmed the two tied the knot.
Per E! News in April, a source said the couple “just grew apart,” explaining:
“They had a lot in common early on, but eventually they just grew apart… She became a bigger and bigger star, and he was okay [with] being in the background, but as she got bigger and had massive tours and intense schedules, they just grew apart.”
The insider added:
“Their marriage was clearly working for a very long time… Whenever she was out at big openings and special events, he was usually with her, and they looked really just happy together and in love.”
Despite their split, an April People source said their breakup will most likely not be “messy” for the sake of their child.
“Adele’s son is everything to her. Her whole life revolves around him. I just can’t see her divorce getting messy because she’s so careful when it comes to her son. She’s always five steps ahead in terms of how a decision will affect him.”
Now that Adele has officially thrown in the towel, she might have to pay Simon a BIG settlement!
Because she filed for divorce in California, he may get as much as half of her earnings.
In April, Sandra Davis, a divorce attorney who represented Princess Diana, told the U.K. Times:
“What is made during the marriage is likely to be split on an equal basis… It doesn’t matter who did what, or who contributed what.”
However, Suzanne Kingston — a lawyer who specializes in family law — said the vocalist “may be able to claim that her talent is effectively genius, which means her husband would be entitled to significantly less.”
In May 2018, Adele made the Sunday Times‘ annual “Rich List,” which reported her estimated wealth to be 140 million pounds — roughly $182 million.
Reportedly, the two did NOT sign a prenup, which means Konecki could be Rolling in the DOUGH!
