Amanda Seyfried is getting a lot of praise for keeping it real!
On Tuesday, a new Vogue Beauty Secrets video premiered showing the Mamma Mia! alum going through a simple, glowy makeup routine. But many viewers were surprised — pleasantly so — to see the actress showing her natural skin, blemishes and all!

Referring to it as an “unfiltered eczema routine”, Amanda began:
“You might be thinking: ‘What’s that on her face?’ That’s my eczema, and I, too, suffer from perioral dermatitis.”
We love the honesty! The Mean Girls star went on to explain:
“When I was 19, I started developing a rash, and I learned about a lot of medicated products — I learned a lot about just products in general from my dermatologist at the time.”
After washing her face with the Jenette Cacao Herb Infused Soap Bar, her face turned bright red. So she addressed what she does about it:
“The rash is screaming. But that’s OK, because I’m gonna cover it, so I can go out in public. It’s funny how eczema makes you feel … I’m using this medicated cream for this little cutie mustache.”
She said her skin “has gotten better over the years” thanks to her consistent routine. But this is a struggle lots of real women go through — and it’s kind of great to see a movie star reveal her own skin issues under all the makeup! Watch the unfiltered video for yourself (below):
In the comments, fans praised Amanda for her refreshing take on beauty standards:
“Woah, no botox, eczema, black spot and red eyelids ! She’s real and just accepted her skin and age. I support 100%”
“As someone with eczema, I just want to thank her and Vogue for not putting a filter over to hide her skin! It’s encouraging to see someone as beautiful also struggling with a similar thing.”
“It so cool that such a beautiful actress would allow us to see the flaws in her skin like that!”
“She is really naturally beautiful, and so REAL. Very refreshing!”
Love it! Reactions, Perezcious readers?
