Awww! Seriously so cute!

And it’s so great how you can hear so many people clearly gushing over him, and saying “Hi Gene” in the background, while he smiles away and seemingly acknowledges everybody — and the camera! What a freakin’ cutie-pie!!!

Celebs seriously couldn’t handle the cuteness, either, with TV host Savannah Guthrie commenting, “I need to hold Gene right this minute,” and Snooki adding “Omg squishy.” And pregnant mom-to-be Ashley Graham added, “He’s so precious,” as well! So wonderful!

Amy’s Journey

It’s all smiles and cute babies right now, but the truth is, the comedian has been on quite the roller coaster ride over the last few months, not wanting to leave Gene and go back to work. Just last week, in fact, she went on IG to share a picture of the mother-son pair, and opened up about his status at five months, and her mental health and emotional status having to go back to work without him.

In that raw, inspirational, emotional post, Amy told her followers (below):

“Five months today and like all moms I love him so much it hurts. I’m feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach. It’s felt good to be back at work. I was so worried about it and was afraid to go back after he was 3 months old. A couple days I’ve cried from missing him. But it’s mostly good to be back and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more. I have it a lot easier than many people but I wanted to share my experience.”

So vulnerable… and so real!

And every time we see Gene, we can understand a little sliver of the feelings and emotions behind why it’s so hard for Amy to leave him for work… he’s truly an incredible, beautiful baby boy!
