Get’em, Silver Fox!!
Anne Hathaway has been the subject of some major hatin’ as of late — something that we don’t quite understand, just like Anderson Cooper doesn’t. If so many people have a problem with her, why is it that he movies make a ton of money and she wins awards for them??
Even if you aren’t keen on how she makes her acceptance speeches, that’s still like 30 seconds out of your life that turns into much more time wasted on hate. Plus, it’s a good thing that she doesn’t even curr anyway! LOLz!
Here’s what Anderson had to say:

“In our morning meeting today, we were talking about this and the level of hatred people have towards Anne Hathaway; I had no idea. She seems like a perfectly lovely person. I don’t understand. She’s incredibly talented, she seems like a lovely person, I think she’s been through a lot. People have all these judgments about her; they don’t know what she’s really like . . . It upset me.”

Agreed, boo! Plus, we get the vibe from Anne that she’s a sweetheart through and through!
Anderson continued about her speech:

“She got up there, she made eye contact, she remembered people’s names without reading it. I mean, give her a break.”

We think what people are getting at is the perceived sincerity of it all, that they feel like she’s still acting when she takes to the podium — which is still not a justification.
He continued:

“The amount of pressure she must feel knowing all these people hate her├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥give her a break; she seems like a lovely young person. Again, people form all these opinions on people based on nothing. You have no actual evidence. I’ve got no dog in this hunt. I don’t know Anne Hathaway. It just seems so completely unfair to me. I had no idea this whole hatred existed, I feel like I’ve just woken up and realized the entire universe is attacking her and I feel bad for her and I am defending her.”

It’s bullying, through and through. Anne has never insulted anyone, or made awful comments!
We agree with Anderson on this one — girl needs a break! If you don’t like her, fine, just don’t be mean about it!
