Angelina Jolie Ends 2-Year Legal Battle With FBI Over Alleged 2016 Plane Incident With Brad Pitt!

Angelina Jolie is ending her two-year legal battle against the Department of Justice and the FBI over the documents related to the abuse allegations against her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

As Perezcious readers will recall, their marriage came to an end in 2016 after the Fight Club actor was allegedly verbally and physically abusive towards Angelina and their six children while on a plane on September 14. The Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services and FBI launched an investigation into Brad, but no charges were ever brought against the 60-year-old film star. He also has vehemently denied the accusations for years.

During their messy situation, Angelina filed a lawsuit under the pseudonym Jane Doe in 2022. The suit revealed the 49-year-old actress requisition in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in 2021 that FBI documents detailing the alleged domestic violence incident be released to her. Attorney Amanda Kramer told Politico at the time:

“I’m unable to comment on the identity of Jane Doe, who has sought to preserve the family’s privacy. Our position is that victims and survivors should be able to access federal agency records of crimes they experienced or reported, as is common at the state level, so they can advocate for help and trauma care and legal protection for their children and themselves. Our client has been seeking such records for years and has been stonewalled and has had to resort to court action to receive those much-needed records.”

But now, it looks like Angelina is giving up her pursuit of these docs. According to court documents obtained by People on Friday, she dropped the case on Wednesday.

Wow. It sounds like Angie is possibly ready to move on from this legal drama. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments.
