Photos have emerged in the death scene of Anne Burrell.
Last summer, representatives for the Food Network star revealed she tragically died at 55 years old. On June 17, her family announced in a statement:
“Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered. Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”
The Worst Cooks in America star’s husband Stuart Claxton was the one to find her unresponsive and “surrounded by pills” in the primary bathroom of their Brooklyn residence. And now, new photos depict the sheer amount of pills present at the scene.

In pics the New York Police Department shared with People on Tuesday, dozens of pills can be spotted in a dish near the toilet. Additionally, bottles of Advil, Zyrtec, Motrin, and a ValuMeds allergy-relief antihistamine can be seen scattered around the floor. In other photos, cigarette butts and a lighter are shown discarded around the scene.
So, so sad.
The outlet also obtained security footage of Anne and Stuart arriving at their apartment complex the night of her death. In some of the footage, the pair are seen waiting for an elevator. Once inside, Anne is shown leaning against the wall with her hands crossed. She turns her head away from Stuart, who is seemingly speaking to her. At one point it looks like she’s about to say something, but stops herself.
So eerie.
Following an investigation, Anne’s death was ruled a suicide — which shocked family, friends, and fans around the world considering her bubbly personality. Last month, the NYPD confirmed that a “suicidal note” and suicidal journal entries were discovered in the primary bedroom of Anne and Stuart’s residence.
So incredibly tragic. Our hearts remain with Anne’s loved ones. Rest in peace.
