A source revealed to People on Thursday that the Modern Family alum broke up with the 31-year-old actor — and it was not recently! No, it reportedly happened all the way back in August 2025! Wow!

There is no bad blood between them, apparently. The insider claimed that “they just realized after almost six years that they were better as friends.” The source said that Ariel thinks Luke is “the best” and “there’s tons of love still there between them,” adding:

“They are still best friends and share the pups, so everything is really good.”

Great to hear! As you know, the pair began dating in 2019, but the last time Ariel was seen with Luke was in July 2025. They attended a screening of Don’t Log Off — a thriller they produced and starred in together during COVID. A month later, they were dunzo! So sad! But at least things ended on good terms!
