The Arrow season finale was full of great action and twists, but the best part was that it led into The CW‘s next big thing — DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow!

Ray Palmer, AKA Brandon Routh, finally tested his ATOM armor after [SPOILER ALERT] being officially rejected by Felicity — who’s planning on retiring with Oliver after his defeat of Ra’s Al Ghul.
And then Ray… exploded? We’re not quite sure, but the fact he’s starring in the new show means he’s probably OK!
As for the much-hyped spinoff? Here’s what we know so far:
It includes several DC heroes AND villains, including Routh, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell reprising their roles as Captain Cold and Heat Wave from The Flash, Caity Lotz returning as somehow-no-longer-dead Sara Lance, Victor Garber as Martin Stein, Ciara Ren├â┬⌐e as Hawkgirl, and Doctor Who‘s Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter.
And it’s this last star that brings it all together.
The official synopsis reads:

“Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Darvill) is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”

Sounds pretty amazing!
Now the bad news. You won’t be getting this epic-sounding show until 2016! The CW has released its fall schedule, and Legends won’t debut until midseason!
Until then, if you want new superheroes, you’ll just have to take Thea (Willa Holland) finally donning the hood as Speedy!
