Ashley Graham is spilling sweet new details about her baby boy!
As we reported, the 32-year-old model welcomed her first child with husband Justin Ervin just a few weeks ago on January 18 and we couldn’t be happier for this new family of three!
On the latest episode of the supermodel’s Pretty Big Deal podcast, the happy couple gave the world its first glimpse of their little one, while officially revealing his name is Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin!

Graham teased the big announcement with a clip of her show on Instagram, adding in her caption:
“Couldn’t hold back my tears on today’s @prettybigdealpod episode. Nothing prepares you for just how magical and intense giving birth is. Holding my baby for the first time is a moment I’ll never forget. Such a special moment in my life deserved a BIG announcement!”

The first-time parents gave viewers a real treat when they briefly held their baby on-camera while describing the origins of Isaac’s name. Ervin noted:
“So, everything in his name is pointing to legacy. Whether it’s, you know, Isaac with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Menelik, you know, the royal African roots.”
Justin continued he picked the name Isaac for his future son years ago. The baby’s middle name, Menelik, which means “son of the wise” and was the name of the first emperor of Ethiopia, was inspired by the couple’s trip there last Christmas.
Meanwhile, Giovanni is a nod to both of their grandfathers being named John and the church Ervin’s family worshipped in.

Ashley ultimately decided on a natural, at-home delivery and spoke at length about the newfound confidence she felt after the experience:
“Now, I have to say now though that I gave birth and I did it naturally and I felt everything, I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do. Like, there’s nothing that could come way where I say, ‘Oh, that’s too hard I can’t handle that.’ I went through laboring for six hours, naturally.”
The former Sports Illustrated model even joked:
“At home. Right there. In a big ol’ pool. Don’t worry, it wasn’t on the carpet.”
Graham explained she was thankful she chose that route because it gave her more control of the situation:
“If I would have had the birth at a hospital, I think my anxiety would have been through the roof. But because I was here, the lights were dim, it was a chill environment, I got to eat whatever food I wanted to, I got to be in bed, I could be in the pool.”
And held back tears as she thanked her husband for his unrelenting support when she needed it most:
“And seeing you with tears in your eyes saying, ‘I can see his head,’ gave me so much strength to just push him out and I really needed that. Literally, a moment later, we sat back. He was on my chest and he was looking you in the eyes…And I said to you, ‘We’re a family forever now.'”
