Almost exactly four years ago now, Ashton Kutcher went on Hot Ones and downed ten very spicy chicken wings while talking about his incredibly close relationship with Diddy.
And now, in light of the dual Department of Homeland Security raids on Diddy’s homes in Miami and Beverly Hills, and the unsettling sex trafficking and sexual abuse allegations that have come out against the music mogul, Kutcher’s comments about his supposedly close pal are being revisited. And some of them are AWKWARD, to say the very least!

While the That ’70s Show alum was speaking about his life and career with Hot Ones host Sean Evans in that April 2020 interview, the conversation came to a discussion about Ashton’s reality TV series Punk’d. At the time, Diddy was working on his own MTV series, Making The Band, and he and Ashton got into a discussion about being pranked. Mila Kunis‘ husband recalled Diddy telling him:
“It started over Punk’d cause he’s like, ‘Yo, you can’t punk me.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know what to tell you, everybody’s on the table.'” So, that started our conversation.”
From there, Ashton claimed he and the Bad Boy Records exec became “fast friends.” That included times when they used to “just hang out and watch football together,” according to Ashton. And the sitcom star even inspired Diddy to run the NYC Marathon in 2003!
But the real story from the Hot Ones chat centered on how much Ashton and Diddy used to party together. The television vet was keen on making it clear that the duo really were friends — and their connection wasn’t some Hollywood PR stunt. But when Evans asked Ashton for stories about what he got up to while partying with the rap mogul, the Iowa-born Kutcher said:
“Wow, I’ve got a lot I can’t tell.”
Hmmm…
In the end, Ashton gave this chilling statement about backing Puff no matter what:
“We make each other laugh. I know he’ll be there for me and I’ll be there for him.”
Well, that’s probably good, because Ashton may in fact need to be there for Diddy very soon!! The potential thought of being dragged into the mess must not be very comforting for Kutcher and Kunis — the latter of whom is already worried about a separate old controversy being dredged up!
