We can’t even imagine what Avicii‘s family and friends are going through right now.
Back in April, the DJ (real name Tim Bergling) was found dead in his hotel room in Oman at the age of 28. He had struggled with his health for years, as the EDM star even had to retire from live performing in 2016. One problem Avicii faced acute pancreatitis, which was brought on from excessive drinking.

As you may know, it’s been reported that his unexpected death was caused by suicide.
In a new statement, his family confirms that the late artist’s funeral will be closed to the public:
“There have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii. The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming.”
