This is incredibly disturbing and upsetting news about The Bachelorette alum Chad Johnson.
The 32-year-old reality TV star’s “bad boy” reputation often precedes him but the title took on a whole new meaning after an alleged drunken altercation involving his girlfriend Annalise Mishler on Sunday. Johnson stands accused of punching a hole in Mishler’s wall, attempting to enter her home, and getting physically violent with her, which led police to arrest him on Monday night.

According to multiple stories and live videos uploaded to Instagram by Mishler, the pair’s volatile fight began after her boyfriend got drunk “for the first time in 50 days” over the weekend. She explained she tried to break up with him on Sunday after seeing notifications for the dating app Hinge on his phone and Johnson exploded with rage from the accusation.
“He went crazy on me. Like, how dare I have the audacity.”
In her footage, Johnson is heard banging on her door as she tells him to leave her alone, saying:
“Go home, you’re scaring me.”
To which you can hear him reply:
“I’m scaring you, really? Really? …Good f***ing luck then. I hope you f***ing die.”
Mishler continued to explain how Chad yelled obscenities at her including the r-word before putting a massive hole in the wall next to her door:
According to updates from Us Weekly, the two live in the same apartment complex and a bystander heard the commotion and decided to call the police for help. An insider told the mag that Mishler tried to call 911 herself, but Johnson “took her phone and chucked it over a fence — and a chunk of her hair.”
The source claimed she didn’t explain everything on her IG story because she was “protecting him”:
“He did hit [her] and that’s why he will be arrested. It’s not the first time, but the first time [she] involved police.”
The insider added:
“She was genuinely scared.”

TMZ reports by the time the cops arrived at her home, they noticed visible red marks on Annalise’s face. By Monday night, Chad had been arrested by members of the Los Angeles Police Department on felony domestic violence and robbery charges, with the latter offense tacked on for discarding Mishler’s phone when she tried to call for help.
The YouTube star showed her injured “lazy eye” to the camera while she explained:
“There was an altercation I guess you could call it. I got back to my apartment and yeah, all that s**t happened and that video that I posted where he was angry. Literally nothing happened except I saw his phone with Hinge and you can’t make sense with crazy and I’m not going to try to.”
She continued:
“We’ve actually broken up like I don’t know how many times. We probably had six big blowouts like this and yeah we do get back together and he does apologize and says he’ll change and everything but that is the cycle. It’s s****y to say but I’m pretty glad that this did happen because No. 1, I’m ok, it wasn’t super serious. I mean, my eye’s a little swollen it’s not a big deal — I mean it is a big deal, I’m not gonna downplay it — but now there is no option to go back. I’m not going back.”
Mishler then said that this incident is not the first time they’ve had a violent altercation, which is why she decided to share her story. In a follow-up message to her followers, she noted how “things are being taken care of.”
Chad’s Apology
Johnson’s rep has since issued a statement to Us Weekly on his behalf:
“Chad Johnson has stepped down from the Bachelors event in April. He deeply regrets his actions and is taking time to seek help for his anger management and drinking problems.”
He also spoke with Too Fab.com directly and apologized for the scary incident:
“I had a little relapse… well I wouldn’t call it a little relapse. Big relapse. I’ve been so stressed man, just sitting in my car crying sometimes, just losing my mind. And to top it all off, the one person I’m closest to doesn’t get me a lot of times. I just lost it.”
Chad said he was so drunk he barely remembered everything that went down:
“I don’t remember actually seeing her. I drank to the point where I didn’t even know I was with her. I just gotta take the Instagram Story’s word that I was there.”
We sincerely hope this is the final wakeup call he needed to get serious help before anyone else gets hurt.
