EXCLUSIVE! Bella Thorne Opens Up About Her New Book Autumn Falls & The Loss Of Her Father
What can’t she do!?
Bella Thorne just took a step closer to world domination with the release of her first book, Autumn Falls.
The work of fiction follows a girl named Autumn as she deals with a major loss, and is actually inspired a lot by Bella’s life.
Well, we had an EXCLUSIVE chat with the 17-year-old star, and she had a lot to say.
Bella’s never been shy about her Dyslexia, and it was even a driving factor in her decision to become an author:
“I was inspired by all the people that say I couldn’t do it…that make fun of people with dyslexia. I wanted to show others that you can do anything you set your mind to do. I found it a very therapeutic and creative way outlet to deal with issues such as losing my dad and fitting in.”
That’s such a mature answer!
She went on to say how her Dad’s death affected her book, saying:
“I am similar to Autumn in the sense that we both have struggled and both have suffered a major loss in our lives. We both had to relocate and try and fit in somewhere new. We are different in that she goes to a public school and has a private life where as my life and loss is documented publicly. I don’t have a magic journal either.”
And don’t worry, Autumn Falls is just the first in a trilogy from Bella, so we can’t wait to read what’s next!
Great job, Bella — we can’t even believe this is just the beginning!

“I hope they all understand that we are all human, making mistakes and trying to fit in. No one has a perfect life and we must make the best with what we are given. There’s always hope.”
“Autumn Falls” will be a 3-part series├óΓé¼┬ª what are your thoughts about turning the books into a movie/TV series? Have you talked to studios about it yet?
“We started basic conversation on developing the book and we will see how it goes. Right now, I am just happy to have another creative way to speak to my audience.”
What are some of your favorite books of all-time? What are your favorite books that turned into movies? What books helped you through some tough times?
“Ghost Girl, Stolen, Famous In Love and Sorta Like a Rockstar are some of my favorite books. A few of these are currently being adapted and I am excited to see how they turn out. Of course these books in their own way have helped and inspired me through difficult times. I became an avid reader from the Ghost Girl series since I fell in love with the stories!”
