Ben Affleck isn’t a fan of Jennifer Lopez talking about their split… but he’s gonna have to get used to it!
J.Lo dropped a candid Interview magazine chat earlier this week, in which she opened up about their divorce at length for the first time. Though she didn’t name Ben, there were some pretty powerful quotes in there about her world exploding, how she “should have learned” her lesson “two or three times ago.” Harsh, but fair.
How does Ben feel about it? Sources told DailyMail.com on Friday the Accountant star feels he “can’t get away” from his ex — and never will be able to! OOF! Per the insiders, the Air director was unaware of the article in advance and now feels like he could be dealing with Bennifer drama “forever.” An insider dished:
“Ben knows that she will talk about the breakup forever, because she has made an album and films about their two relationships.”
That’s the price you pay when dating an artist! Especially one like J.Lo!

As for how he feels about going public?? The source continued:
“He would love for her not to talk about it, but he feels she will always speak out. He didn’t get a heads-up that she was going to talk about their relationship, but he assumed that it would eventually happen. It is a part of his life just as much as anything else, he’s never going to get away from it.”
We could see him being a bit salty about not getting a warning. It probably would’ve been nice to know — but then again, they’re broken up! She’s got a right to spill the tea if she wants! Besides, if they had better lines of communication maybe they’d make the marriage work, right?
While the Good Will Hunting alum is clearly a bit annoyed with his ex’s decision to talk about their relationship, he is “OK with however Jen has to deal with it” and is well aware that she’s “always been one to talk” about her personal life. That’s for sure! The source elaborated:
“People deal with loss and breakup in their own way, and this is what Jen had to do and Ben has to accept it. He would like to keep some stuff to himself, especially major details about their relationship.”
So far, Jennifer seems to be on the same page! While she did open up about her new status as a single woman, she didn’t get into the nitty-gritty details about the divorce… not yet anyway! Who knows, maybe that’ll come out in a scathing breakup album down the line?!
As Perezcious readers know, the Hustlers star finally filed for divorce from her husband on August 20 months after breakup rumors first surfaced. While they seemed to rekindle things recently, Jenny from the Block made it clear in her new interview that she’s not going backward after the “f**king hard” split. She insisted she’s “not looking for anybody” right now and is instead focused on improving herself. When the time is right, we wouldn’t put it past her to share even more, though! Ben might not like his struggles being in the spotlight, but he knows who he married. None of this should be a surprise!
