Ariana Grande’s #Donutgate

Before she was laughing about writing love songs regarding her romance with Ricky Alvarez, Ariana Grande was licking donuts with her bandana-wearing beau in July 2015. The two were caught on camera looking innocent enough in a donut shop with friends, until the thank u, next singer decided to lick a donut on a tray. Icky!

To make matters work, the then-22-year-old randomly exclaimed (below) as an employee brought out a new array of sweets:

“What the f**k is that? I hate Americans. I hate America. That’s disgusting.”

Obviously, the incident was quickly dubbed #DonutGate and went viral, causing Grande to issue an apology for her anti-American remarks:

“As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me, and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. That being said, let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words.”

But you were in a donut shop?!

And you licked a donut without thinking about it!

Ari never really addressed why she decided to lick the pastry. There are some things we’ll just never know!

Justin Bieber Calls Anne Frank A Belieber

In April 2013, Justin Bieber provoked massive online criticism after visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam when he wrote a controversial message in the guestbook:

“Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.”

The then 19-year-old’s suggestion was that if Anne had been alive at the time, she would have been a “belieber,” AKA a devoted fan of the musician. His bad boy behavior at this time was seriously inexcusable!!

Kanye West Calls Out George Bush

While appearing alongside Mike Myers on a national telethon to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina, Kanye West went COMPLETELY off script (above), ranting about the natural disaster, finishing off his impassioned speech with:

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

In conversation with Matt Lauer, the former President reflected on the rapper’s September 2005 insult:

“MATT LAUER: About a week after the storm hit NBC aired a telethon asking for help for the victims of Katrina. We had celebrities coming in to ask for money. And I remember it vividly because I hosted it. And at one part of the evening I introduced Kanye West. Were you watching?

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Nope.

MATT LAUER: You remember what he said?

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: Yes, I do. He called me a racist.

MATT LAUER: Well, what he said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH: That’s — “he’s a racist.” And I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, “I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.” It’s another thing to say, “This man’s a racist.” I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.”

Unfortunately for Ye, this wasn’t the first time his politics got the best of him! Who would’ve thought after this he’d end up defending Donald Trump one day? We wonder what George thinks about this now!!

Kristen Stewart Cheats On Robert Pattinson

Twihards everywhere were CRUSHED when news broke in June 2012 of Kristen Stewart cheating on her on and off screen love Robert Pattinson — with Rupert Sanders, a married man, father of two, AND director of her flick Snow White and the Huntsman. To make things even messier, Sanders’ wife Liberty Ross played KStew’s MOTHER in the movie. Ouch!!

As a result, both Kristen and Rupert’s respective relationships came to an end as they each issued public apologies — but we can only imagine some Twilight fans never looked at the Bella Swan portrayer the same again!

Even Donald Trump famously weighed in with his unwanted opinion!

Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again–just watch. He can do much better!

Justin Bieber Pees In A Bucket

Apparently, Justin Bieber wasn’t exactly potty trained at age 19. A video (above) was obtained of the musician relieving himself into a mop bucket in an unidentified NYC restaurant in July 2013. His spectating friends shared (below) while observing the bathroom break:

“Quick little piss break, you know? Quickest restroom we could get to. We swagger, you know? This is just a little walk to piss. That’s the coolest spot to piss, you know? We will forever remember that. You’re not going to remember him pissing in the restroom. Everybody does that. We the f**king wild kids, yo! Wild kids in this b**ch!”

As the What Do You Mean? artist and his crew reentered the restaurant, he yelled:

“F**k Bill Clinton!”

What’d he do to you, Biebs?!

Solange Knowles Beats Down JAY-Z

This took your classic family squabble to a whole new level! Following a 2014 Met Gala afterparty, footage showed Solange yelling at JAY-Z in an elevator wildly hitting and kicking him before a security guard and even Beyoncé attempted to step in.

Ten days after the May incident and following PLENTY of speculation as to what caused the cat fight, the trio released a joint statement to the Associated Press:

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family. The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false. At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Winona Ryder’s Five Finger Discount

Way back before her Stranger Things days, Winona Ryder‘s career was almost destroyed by a shoplifting scandal in 2001.

In a candid chat with Porter magazine in 2016, the Heathers alum opened up (below) about the personal struggles she was dealing with when caught using a five finger discount at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills in December 2001:

“Psychologically, I must have been at a place where I just wanted to stop. I won’t get into what happened, but it wasn’t what people think…. And it wasn’t like the crime of the century!”

She continued, sharing:

“But it allowed me time that I really needed, where I went back to San Francisco and got back into things that… I just had other interests, frankly.”

One year after the incident, she was sentenced to three years probation, 480 hours of community service, $6,355 in restitution to Saks, $3,700 in fines, and was ordered to attend drug and psychological counseling. So glad she’s made such great progress since then!

How could we ever forget Ashlee Simpson‘s Saturday Night Live flub? The star attempted to pick up the pieces after her Pieces of Me performance flopped in October 2004, and now looks back on the then-embarrassing moment fondly.

Chatting with E! News in 2018, she admitted the infamous fail has since made her a better person:

“It’s definitely not difficult to talk about…that was a very long time ago. It’s something that happened to me and things in life happen to you and they make you stronger and they make you a better performer, a better person. I think things like that build your character and your strength and it’s how you handle them.”

Prince Harry’s Naked Las Vegas Romp

Before he was a married man, Prince Harry had quite the prankster past! His crown jewels and bare butt were on display in August 2012 while on a boys’ trip to Las Vegas, and things certainly got sinful.

Apparently, the then 27-year-old wasn’t too good at playing strip pool and ended up in his birthday suit, even hugging a fully nude woman! In a 2013 interview, he apologized for his wild romp, admitting he was ashamed of his decisions:

“At the end of the day I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down… But it was probably a classic example of me probably being too much army, and not enough prince. It’s a simple case of that.”

We’re glad Harry has since cleaned up his act, but we’ll always have the memories of the young bachelor. Remember, what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas!

One Direction Caught Smoking Weed

Good boys gone bad! In May 2014, while on the Latin America leg of their tour with One Direction, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson let loose with friends, smoking marijuana and joking about their drug use in a leaked video. While Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan were not present in the car, Mr. Payne seemed to take some responsibility for his bandmates’ actions, tweeting:

“I love my boys and maybe things have gone a little sideways I apologise for that.We are only in our 20’s we all do stupid things at this age”

“We all have a lot of growing up to do in an extreme circumstance I’m not making excuse but it’s fact we are gunna fall short somewhere”

“Hopefully we stand the test of time an get it right in the end I don’t take this for granted and im extremely grateful to be here doing this”

“Thank you to everyone who has stuck with us through this just know that we love you guys for it and it means the world”

However sincere the apology may have been, it didn’t go over too well with Directioner parents, who claimed the reefer scandal tarnished the boys then-squeaky images, and began selling some concert tickets in mass amounts to prevent their kids from seeing 1D. Let this be a lesson that next time you’re going to light up, do it without cameras!
