The backlash against Blake Lively continues! Amid her ongoing battle with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, fans have been digging into Blake’s past — finding little controversies all over the place. This time, she’s getting called out for what happened on the set of another movie — A Simple Favor.
It’s not about her rumored feud with Anna Kendrick! This involves another co-star: Henry Golding! You may remember toward the end of the movie, the actress grabs her movie hubby’s crotch while they share a kiss. Well, it turns out that moment was not in the script! Blake completely improvised it!

Footage from the film’s Blu-Ray release has resurfaced online during her lawsuit drama of her even admitting it, and people are grossed out now!
In a video posted by Kjersti Flaa, the journalist who went viral for her uncomfortable interview with Blake at the beginning of the IEWU saga, director Paul Feig can be heard saying:
“One of my favorite additions you came up with was you grabbed his nuts, and you really went for it, too.”
Blake didn’t deny his claim, either! She responded:
“That’s always awkward, when you’re like, ‘Hey nice to meet you! Can I grab your nuts really hard?’ Not because I want to, because I feel like she would.”
Paul then shared that he even asked Blake to grab Henry’s junk “harder!” Whoa! Watch Blake’s confession (below):
This may not look good for Blake in light of the sexual harassment allegations she has made against Justin! Remember, the Gossip Girl alum claimed in her lawsuit that he added more intimate scenes and improvised intimate moments between them that were not originally in the script — including during filming for a slow-dance scene. Raw footage of the scene in question even dropped earlier this year, which she claims backs her accusations that he made unwanted advances toward her.
In the clip, Justin tries to go in for a few near kisses, kisses her forehead, and grazes her neck. All of which, Blake claimed was improvised by Justin and not discussed nor consented to “in advance.” An intimacy coordinator allegedly wasn’t even present, either. While acting out the scene, they also oddly were talking out of character. The audio wasn’t going to be used in the final cut of the film, no matter what, but they ended up having some awkward conversation about their personal lives and Justin’s nose. See (below):
With the resurfaced clip with Henry, many are now calling out Blake for her “disgusting” improvisation! Plus, they think she is a “hypocrite” because she was fine to let her character dictate her actions on the set of A Simple Favor, like grabbing Henry’s crotch, but had a problem with it when it came to Justin. “This is absolutely unbelievable!”
“OMG poor Henry looks so uncomfortable. This woman is shameless”
“She is such a hypocrite!!”
“This is so angering! Blake is aweful. Could you IMAGINE if it was the other way around. Hypocrisy”
“WTF!! How gross…..”
“I can’t believe she did that. That is so gross.”
Here’s the thing, though! Blake’s team says there is a huge difference between these two situations! She asked and got consent from the director and her co-star before pulling the move but Justin allegedly didn’t! A rep told TMZ:
“Blake collaborated and reached agreement with the director and her co-star before filming the scene. That is the entire point here and that is what Mr. Baldoni did not do. The audio commentary referenced clearly says that she made a creative suggestion, all agreed on it, and it was incorporated through the appropriate filmmaking process.”
Once again, the spokesperson says this is an example of Justin trying to smear her name! They continued:
“Mr. Baldoni on the other hand, who was Blake’s boss as the director and producer of the film and the head of the studio, decided on his own, without asking first, that it was ok for him to bite and suck on Blake’s lower lip, again without advance notice or asking for consent during a scene in which he continued to improvise more kissing on each take. This is just one example of the many in Blake’s lawsuit against Mr. Baldoni. The attempts to smear Blake have now come so full circle, that they are even starting to prove her own point.”
Hmm.
Obviously there has to be room for improvisation in acting — so long as everyone is comfortable with the changes. And that’s why we have intimacy coordinators now, to make sure everyone is OK. Of course, that’s part of the reason this is tricky… because based on Justin’s evidence, Blake refused to meet with the intimacy coordinator on It Ends With Us! And he says he was the one who was uncomfortable in having to relay notes to her from his meeting, something he also claims she later used as an example of inappropriate behavior on his part. Complicated stuff.
