Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds want to disappear, reportedly.
The Gossip Girl star’s been battling her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni for months now. It’s completely taken over her life — and destroyed many aspects of it, such as her once-tight friendship with Taylor Swift. Gone are the days of flashy NYC nights out with friends and joining the singer in a luxury private box at the Super Bowl.
These days, she mostly stays in the shadows, making rare social media posts and taking low-key trips to the Cotswolds in Britain. It’s a much quieter life than she’s used to, but according to this report, she feels it’s for the best.

For one, this lawsuit has taken a toll on her, a source told DailyMail.com on Friday:
“I think she’s just so tired. This has taken a lot out of her. She’s just not always there when you talk to her.”
Even Ryan’s demeanor has allegedly changed throughout this long battle. The source claim they are both “not as playful as they used to be.” It’s “like a light has dimmed.” The confidant elaborated:
“They used to have big dinner parties and I don’t think they’ve had them for a while now. I think it’s just too much for her. I don’t think they’re being very social these days. No one is saying they have problems, but they’re just preoccupied and I think it’s all about the case. It’s stressful.”
Any legal issue would take its toll, but such a high-profile and long fight is bound to be incredibly stressful and exhausting! We’re sure they’re all happy the trial is finally about to start!
Not only has this scandal wreaked havoc on her personal life, but it’s apparently halted any movement in the industry, a second source dished:
“Blake isn’t getting the offers and there hasn’t been anywhere near the same interest in her since the Baldoni drama exploded. She’s burned bridges and most people in the industry seem to be steering clear.”
Most of the projects she had in development before all this went down also seem to have stalled. Not great! Making it worse, the source furthered:
“It definitely appears grim for her work wise in the States, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to change anytime soon either. It feels like she’s been shunned by the industry.”
That’s rough.
Because of this mess, the source says Blake and Ryan have actually considered fleeing the US!
“Blake and Ryan have even discussed moving to the UK. But what’s making them take a long, hard look at their immediate future is that their kids’ schooling and friends are in the States. Blake truly is an amazing mother. If it wasn’t for their children, they may consider relocating to the UK or at least splitting their time more between there and the US.”
It wouldn’t be a shock if they do make the move someday, though:
“With Ryan’s huge success with Wrexham, he has a great affinity for the UK. Blake could rebrand there and believes there are top of the line filmmakers who could give her a second chance.”
Unfortunately, at this rate, whether or not Blake wins in trial (or if she and Baldoni reach a settlement), the insider doesn’t think that’ll help repair her reputation:
“It doesn’t matter which way the jury sways, it’s doubtful she will regain her reputation.”
