Are Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk headed for splitsville?
Rumors about these two have been swirling for months, but the couple have always seemed to shrug them off and keep on living their lives.
During the Oscar run for Bradley’s directorial debut, A Star Is Born, people were sure he and star Lady GaGa were having an affair.
Not only was there that steamy onstage performance, there were also pics of the costars looking very close — perhaps uncomfortably so for Irina, who was sitting right there.
Of course, it didn’t help that all that was happening just as GaGa and fiancé Christian Carino were going through their breakup.
We aren’t buying what shippers are selling on BCoop and GaGa — that’s just good old actor chemistry. As the Poker Face singer told Jimmy Kimmel about all the talk:
“Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see… When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel… I’m an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job… fooled ya!”
But what if there is truth underneath all that chaff??
What if all the rumors were exacerbating an already fraught situation between Bradley and Irina?
The couple have been together since 2015, right after their respective breakups with model/actress Suki Waterhouse and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Considering how long those relationships lasted — Bradley and Suki were together for two years, Irina and Cristiano for five — it almost seemed they were one another’s rebound.
But that turned into a real relationship that has lasted ever since.
Well, maybe up until now.
A source spilled to Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday:
“Bradley and Irina have been unhappy in their relationship for some time and have tried to make it work.
They both want the best for their daughter, but seem to be coming to terms with the fact that staying together might not be for the best.”
The insider also corroborates our theory about the GaGa stuff:
“Things were difficult before Bradley started filming A Star Is Born but his dedication to his work while making the movie only made things harder at home. The constant speculation about Bradley’s relationship with Gaga — while things were difficult at home — didn’t help the situation.
But his relationship with Gaga is not the issue. They have many daily issues as parents and as professionals and have been fighting.”
Actually, the most unexpected part of this tea is the fact the movie may have kept the couple together!
The source claims:
“Their troubles have been going on for quite some time and they even considered splitting during the release of the movie. They talked things through a great deal and seemed to hold off and keep up appearances for the time being. It was recommended they delay a split at what seemed to be the peak of his career because the negative attention would take away from the excitement of the release.“
Huh.
According to ET‘s source, it’s likely just a matter of time:
“Bradley and Irina are trying to work it out, and their friends are still holding out hope, but it doesn’t look good and friends are concerned [the relationship] won’t last”
We wish we could say we’re shocked. But we aren’t.
Honestly we didn’t think Bradley and Irina would make it out of 2016.
Not only did that year have a TON of breakups, but they really seemed poised after showing, well, a lack of poise in the stands at Wimbledon that year.

Instead they did what many couples in trouble do — they got pregnant.
Is the source right? Have they only stayed together for their daughter? And is 2-year-old Lea better off with two parents who are happy — even if they aren’t together?
