Brandi Glanville Lost 5 Teeth -- And She's Running Out Of Money! Oh No!

There’s no question Brandi Glanville has been going through it lately.

As we reported back in July, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum had been suffering through some severe facial swelling. Those issues cropped up yet again just the other day when the reality TV veteran took to her X (Twitter) account to post a very concerning selfie that caught fans’ attention.

From there, the mystery of what was going on with the 52-year-old Bravo alum’s health quickly deepened amid endless social media chatter. But now, we have at least part of the answer to what’s been going on in Brandi’s increasingly unsettled world: she lost five teeth! OMG!

On Tuesday, The US Sun released an interview with the RHOBH alum in which Brandi revealed that she’d lost five teeth and had extensive dental work done to fix the awful ordeal! The former model told the outlet how stress-induced angioedema — basically, the swelling of the outer layer of skin — caused her face to balloon up. As a result, her teeth actually shifted and were horribly impacted! She began:

“People keep asking me if I’ve lost weight, and I haven’t, I’ve actually gained weight, but I’ve lost teeth. I lost five teeth out of my head, so my face has been looking really thin.”

Specifically, Brandi claimed that her ongoing battle against Bravo, which goes all the way back to sexual misconduct allegations levied against her by Caroline Manzo during past Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip filming in Morocco and the network’s subsequent response to those claims, is to blame for the stress that triggered the angioedema.

Things got bad, Brandi claimed — bad enough to lose those five teeth! And they apparently would have gotten worse had Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran Phaedra Parks not stepped in to recommend dentist Anjali Rajpal to Glanville:

“My girlfriend Phaedra was at the dentist, and she was just telling my story to her friend, the dentist, Dr. Anj. Dr. Anj just wanted to help. It’s the holidays. She’s giving me the gift of smiling again, and we’re in the process, so I have one new tooth in the back, which I’m so excited about.”

Now, after extensive work undertaken by Dr. Rajpal, Brandi says that life is slowly getting back to normal:

“I can eat again, I’m not chewing with the front of my teeth, and I can smile again, but it’s a work in progress, and I’m just actually happy for the first time in about two years.”

The dental work sounds excruciating, though. For one, Glanville revealed that the stress-induced angioedema literally shifted around her teeth to the point of no return:

“When your face swells up and goes down and swells up and goes down, your teeth move, and I had a bridge that was very, very old, and unbeknownst to me there was an infected tooth underneath that.”

But as awful as that sounds, it actually could have been worse!! Glanville continued:

“I’m honestly not thankful I had an stress-induced angioedema, but had it not been for that, that tooth could have done a lot more damage than it did. So we had to take the bridge off because my teeth were like, there. Spacing out and moving, and that’s when we found that there was a broken tooth that had been under there for God knows how long. When we pulled that one, we realized we had to pull two more. So now I’m missing five teeth.”

The Sun also quoted Dr. Rajpal, who explained exactly what would have happened had Brandi not taken action when she did:

“Dental infections in that area can be extremely dangerous because your teeth are so closely linked to your sinuses there. If the infection travels directly into the sinus, you can just blow up a huge infection in the sinus and end up with all of these issues. Teeth, infections on the front of teeth can be extremely dangerous as well, because they can travel directly into the brain. So all of these things are really important to be closely monitored so that they don’t end up causing systemic issues and unnecessary bacteria traveling to other parts of the body.”

So scary…

The whole thing has been a hell of an ordeal, obvi. Brandi conceded that she hasn’t wanted to smile much lately considering her fears that she would reveal her missing teeth to the world:

“I wasn’t socializing anyway, but you really don’t want to because you don’t want to have to explain to everyone why you’re missing a tooth. One of them was in the more towards the front, where you could actually see it, the ones in the back we’re working on. I am happy for my smile. I’m happy because it’s the holidays, and, you know, I love Christmas, and I wasn’t even going to decorate until this all came about.”

She also linked her toothlessness with her joblessness by shockingly referencing the possibility of become homeless “very soon” if she doesn’t land a paying gig:

“You don’t feel good if you can’t smile and I was joking with my son yesterday, because, you know about the Housewives, I’m like, I’m toothless, not homeless. I’m not the other way around, but I could be homeless very soon if I don’t get a job.”

Whoa!

Dr. Rajpal also confirmed to the outlet that there’s still work to be done in order to fully restore Brandi’s smile.

When it comes to the RHOBH legend’s career, though, that’s a whole different can of worms. Though Glanville tried to remain optimistic regarding her smile being the “first step in getting back” on track, she conceded that things are not good right now:

“I don’t have a career, but I have a smile, and that’s the first step in getting back. Honestly, like I told you before, I’ve been living off my savings for the past two years, and I joke with my friends that I’m going to be homeless as well as toothless. I’m going to be both, but now I definitely have teeth. I’m excited to get back out there and take meetings again, hopefully, and just start living again. I’ve been so depressed, and it just seemed like, for the past year and a half, two years, anything and everything that could go wrong went wrong.”

And she’s really making it sound like she’s on the razor’s edge at this point in her life. Claiming that “no one wants to hire” her for television projects, the 52-year-old revealed her “savings are close to being depleted” as the year comes to a close:

“I have a new therapist, I’m on better medication to help with my depression, so I’m just trying to pivot and, you know, change my outlook, instead of, you know, ‘poor me.’ It’s time to make it happen and if no one wants to hire me for TV — well, not no one, but Warner Brothers, Universal, NBC, Bravo and that’s kind of everyone. So, if I can’t work for them, I’m gonna have to figure out what I can do, because I have a family to support, and it is the holidays, and the savings are close to being depleted.”

Yikes.

Sending love and light to Brandi during a difficult situation — emotionally, psychologically, financially, and orally. At least it sounds like her dental problems are well on their way to being fixed.
