
Brie Larson is willing to have the uncomfortable conversations in hopes of making the world a safer place for everyone.
On Thursday, just after reports of Harvey Weinstein‘s years of sexual misconduct, the 28-year-old took to Twitter to invite her fans to listen to the experience of being a woman in today’s society.

She began by detailing an experience where she received uninvited advances from a TSA agent.
The actress recounted:
I merely smiled at a TSA agent and he asked for my phone number. To live life as a woman is to live life on the defense.

She went on to engage with her followers who thought she was making a big deal out of nothing:

First step: listen. I don’t need you explain why my experience is invalid. I need you to listen because I am not a liar and I have a soul.
