On Wednesday, the BRIT Awards remembered the countless industry vets we lost this past year. Specifically, the awards show focused on the tragic death of George Michael. In case you forgot, the Faith singer passed away this past Christmas due to heart failure.
George touched many people’s lives, which explains why his former Wham bandmate Andrew Ridgeley and the duo’s backing vocalists, Helen “Pepsi” DeMacque and Shirlie Holliman, got teary eyed while speaking about their fallen friend onstage. The emotional moments didn’t stop there though as Chris Martin also performed a musical tribute to Michael during the show!
Be sure to ch-ch-check out the touching tribute for yourself (above)!
