The musician is said to have been “distraught” about her father’s medical condition, as he suffered a ruptured colon.
According to an Us Weekly source on Friday, prior to receiving treatment, the pop star was “shattered” seeing Jamie ill.
The insider revealed:
“She’s been devastated over the prospect of losing her dad. He’s always been her rock, and seeing him seriously ill has shattered her… She’s been depressed and hasn’t been able to find a way out of it. After Jamie’s recent surgery, she found herself so full of anxiety and panic, she didn’t know who to turn to or what to do. She’s been spiraling and feeling lost.”

In January 2019, Spears announced her indefinite hiatus from her second Las Vegas residency, because Jamie “was hospitalized and almost died.”
Sadly, taking a break from work has not helped the 37-year-old.
“She isn’t performing and that’s always been her outlet… It’s been a very tough few months for her.”
With everything going on, the source said Spears “felt like it was time to get help and that she needed support,” adding:
“She wants to understand her feelings and learn how to cope with them. She wanted to find a way to take care of herself and get out of the dark place she has been in.”
As we wrote, Britney’s boyfriend, Sam Asghari, and her sons with ex Kevin Federline, Sean Preston (13) and Jayden (12), are able to visit her at the wellness center.
A different Us Weekly insider dished:
“Her boyfriend, Sam, has been extremely supportive and is behind her all the way. He’s so proud of her for wanting to better herself and for taking this step… They are all behind her and want her to succeed.”
Additionally, her beau and her children “want to see her back to her old self, being the happy-go-lucky girl they know and love. They don’t want her to suffer like she has been anymore.”
On Thursday, an ET insider revealed more information on Spears’ facility admission:
“She seems to be on a constant roller coaster and can’t get off. She is finally getting the help she needs. She is the one who finally decided she needed help and made the decision to manage her own emotions. She finally realized it was affecting her everyday life and even her relationships. She wants to feel better and more relaxed and taking time to focus on herself truly is her only option. It has been a rough year. While those closest to her have encouraged her to get help, she finally decided on her own it was time.”
You got this, Britney!
