Britney Spears Finally Met Lance Bass' Kids - After Previously Flaking On Them!

This is so heartwarming!

Britney Spears has finally met Lance Bass’ twins, Violet and Alexander! This comes just one month after he called her out for bailing on an initial get-together she originally tried to set up. Taking to Twitter with the good news on Monday, the pop star shared two photos in which she and her husband, Sam Asghari, posed with the *NSYNC star and his children. She gushed in the caption:

“I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies !!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!”

Already auntie status?! Love it!

In the photos, Brit and Lance each held a child as they stood in a living room in casual clothes. They were all smiles, too — take a look!

As Perezcious readers know, Lance and his husband, Michael Turchin, welcomed the children via surrogate in October 2021. During an episode of his iHeartRadio podcast Frosted Tips in June, the Bye Bye Bye vocalist revealed the Toxic artist “reached out through her people” recently with intentions to “meet the kids and all that.” Unfortunately, he believed her team put a sudden “stop” to the reunion, he complained:

“You have to talk through people. It’s very strange.”

He was clearly irritated, and we get it! Britney and Lance have been friends for a looong time. In the ’90s, they were both at the peak of their careers and they even toured together. They also grew closer when the Crossroads alum was dating Bass’ bandmate, Justin Timberlake. The pair eventually became such good friends, Lance told Britney he was gay before coming out to the public years later. So, they had a tight bond! But it all vanished when the conservatorship was put in place.

In May 2022, Lance got candid with Page Six about their faded friendship and how everything changed during the strict legal arrangement. While he didn’t know exactly what was going on behind the scenes, he claimed he tried to get in touch with the Grammy winner but couldn’t reach her. He noted:

“It’s just, you know, there’s a wall around her. […] And for some reason, those people don’t want her old friends involved with her life.”

Her conservatorship finally ended in September 2021, giving her back control over her life. It’s unclear why it took so long for the duo to reunite again, but we know Britney has been dealing with so much as she processes this traumatic time in her life. It’s nice to see she was finally able to meet Lance’s kiddos and begin to mend this relationship!
