Through good and bad times, Britney Spears‘ boyfriend Sam Asghari‘s got her back!
According to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, Brit’s bae has been nothing but supportive as she continues to deal with the aftermath of her ex-husband Kevin Federline and father Jamie Spears‘ ongoing drama.
As we reported, Federline filed a restraining order against Spears’ dad after a physical altercation involving his 13-year-old son, Sean Preston.

The insider explained to the publication how the personal trainer “only wants the best for Britney, her boys and her happiness.” In regards to the current contentious family dynamic, the 25-year-old has reportedly stepped up as a strong shoulder for the pop star to lean on through it all. The source shared:
“He tries to keep her levelheaded and calm whenever there’s drama within her family. They really do love each other.”
We’re glad to hear Britney is surrounded with love and support — and it comes at a good time, too. The last few weeks have been especially tough when you consider the major changes made to Spears’ conservatorship and Kevin’s abuse allegations against Jamie.
Speaking of, the confidant shared additional details about the alleged battery that went down on August 24.
We told you when Federline, who now has 70% custody of his two sons, filed a police report against the 67-year-old on August 25, alleging Jamie tried to injure Sean Preston while he and his brother Jayden James were in Britney’s care.
The source confirmed the report and told Us:
“Sean Preston felt unsafe and locked himself into a room. Jamie broke into the room and shook Sean Preston. Fortunately, Britney did the right thing and took her boys to safety and away from her father. The whole incident was very upsetting to her and her boys. Kevin was and still is furious.”
Following the incident, KFed was granted a temporary restraining order against his ex-wife’s father which prohibits Jamie from coming near Sean and his younger brother for three years.
It’s clear the court sided with Kevin’s concerns and it doesn’t seem far-fetched to think he may take matters a step further and file for full custody of his kids if things don’t get any better.
In the meantime, though, it sounds like Asghari is settling into his role as the ever-supportive boyfriend. These recent reports about his top-notch behavior are much different than the shady comments dished out by fans who were in an uproar after the aspiring actor made remarks which made him seem like an opportunist.
Despite those criticisms, it sounds like Sam is really holding things down right now. And, we’re here for it!
