Brittany Murphy‘s husband Simon Monjack is hosting an event to launch the Brittany Murphy Foundation which is dedicated to arts education for children.

But he is suggesting enormous amounts for attendees at $1,000 per head and $10,000 for corporations.

Insiders believe Monjack just wants to make money. “He’s gotten away with so much. He thinks he can get away with this,” says one source.

“Everyone thinks it’s very tacky that he is making it so much about money,” says another.

Tacky is putting it nicely — we think it’s despicable!
