Charlie Sheen's Sons Are 'Living With Their Grandparents' While Mother Brooke Mueller Continues Rehab

Brooke Mueller’s two children are being cared for by their grandparents while their mother gets the professional help she needs.

As we reported, a rep for Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife told People she has “voluntarily checked herself into a trauma center on the East Coast and is under the care of professionals” amid her ongoing struggles with drug abuse.

According to a source close to Mueller, she’s been “in a trauma center for the past few weeks and is doing very well.” As she continues to seek help, Bobby and Max — the 10-year-old twin boys she shares with the Two and a Half Men star — are said to be living with Brooke’s mother and her mother’s husband.

News of the 41-year-old’s decision to enter rehab first broke earlier this month. At the time, Page Six released footage of a woman allegedly identified as Mueller preparing to smoke what appears to be crystal meth inside of a van.

In the video obtained by the tabloid, the woman squats on the floor of the vehicle as she holds what seems to be a drug pipe. She asks the person recording her:

“Just how am I gonna wake up tomorrow, and who’s gonna drive me? That’s why it had to be you guys. That’s why I thought you guys were doing it. I’m not gonna be able to wake up with — this is what you don’t get. I’m not gonna be able to get on the plane.”

Although the outlet claimed the footage was captured in July 2018, an insider told People “the video circulating was from years ago.”

Page Six later released alleged audio of Mueller asking someone for “cocaine and meth, crystal and coke, and, if it’s even possible, it would have to be the tar, black tar.” Black tar, for those who don’t know, is a kind of heroin.

The audio was allegedly recorded during Mueller’s messy Hamptons trip this past July, where she was reportedly seen with “bags of drugs” at a local Rite Aid looking for people to party with.

The insider told People at the time that “most of the story is highly exaggerated.” When the NY Post reached out to Brooke about the audio tape, she seemingly denied it all, telling the outlet:

“I am OK, I am more than OK… I was with my treatment team, so there’s no way I would be looking for black tar. I’ve never done heroin in my life. This is getting out of control.”

Despite her denial, Brooke’s relapse issues were reportedly confirmed last month by a source who said she had checked herself back into rehab.

Per Page Six, her sons — whom she has primary custody of — were thankfully safe at home in Beverly Hills during their mom’s alleged misadventures in the Hamptons. A source explained:

“Both boys live with Brooke in Beverly Hills. When Brooke is traveling, her mother and her mother’s husband take care of the twins together in the same house.”

However, that apparently wasn’t the case during the alleged incident from last summer. A source claims the actress left Bobby, who was just nine years old at the time, alone at a restaurant with two male strangers for an hour as she left to score drugs.

We’re glad the mother-of-two is getting the help she needs, and that her sons are in safe care in the meantime.
