In a recent interview with BBC, Bryan Cranston condemned the inappropriate behavior from the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey — and while that’s great, he fell short when asked if “there’s a way back for the Weinsteins and Spaceys of the world.”
And this all comes after Cranston said Spacey’s career was “over”!

The 61-year-old said of the ousted sexual abusers:
“It would take time. It would take a society to forgive them. And it would take tremendous contrition on their part. And a knowingness that they have a deeply rooted, psychological, emotional problem that takes years to mend. If they were to show us that they put the work in and are truly sorry and making amends ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and not defending their actions, but asking for forgiveness, then maybe down the road, there is room for that.”
The Breaking Bad actor went on:
“Then it would be up to us to determine, case-by-case, whether or not this person deserves a second chance. We shouldn’t close it off and say, ‘To hell with him, rot and go away for the rest of your life.’ Let’s be bigger than that. Let’s leave it open for the few who can make it through the gauntlet of trouble and who have reclaimed their life and dignity and respect for others.”

We cannot leave room for serial sexual predators to make a redemption — and more importantly, we must hold them accountable for their many transgressions.
Also, what are we doing to help victims heal? Until that happens, let’s not discuss helping the abusers.
