Glowing tributes from those close to Cameron Boyce continue to pour in on social media in the days following his sudden death on July 6.
His roommates, fellow young actors Sophie Reynolds and Karan Brar, have now both broken their silence on their friend’s passing with heartfelt messages on Instagram.

She captioned the sweet pic:
“my family. my person. my heart.
maybe someday I’ll be able to put everything cam was into words, but right now it just hurts a little too much.
Please, hug everyone you love.
I wish I could.”
It’s good advice. All the time, really.
Brar, who costarred with Cameron on The Disney Channel‘s Jessie, also shared a heartfelt post in honor of his late roommate, writing on IG:
“you were the greatest thing to have ever happened to me. i love you so much cam. wish i had more to say right now but i don’t think words will come for a while.
thank you to everyone who sent such kind words my way. know i haven’t been responding but it truly means a lot.”
As we reported, Cameron passed away in his sleep overnight on Saturday night/Sunday morning, according to law enforcement sources.
Paramedics called to his home on Sunday morning were unable to revive the 20-year-old, and though the cause of death has been “deferred” following the autopsy, his family has revealed he had “an ongoing medical condition.”
Boyce’s family released a statement shortly after his passing, speaking about his impact on the world of television and film at such a young age (below):
“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
On Sunday night, Cameron’s father Victor Boyce took to Twitter to thank fans and friends for the overwhelming amount of love he and his family had been receiving:
I’m overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received. It really does help to ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from. I can’t thank you guys enough.
