Leave it to these two to completely revive the red carpet!
Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara were not messing around with their style choices at the premiere of Carol in London on Wednesday.

And they both embraced ruffles!
Cate was especially regal (as always!) in a deep blue shimmering Esteban Cortazar gown with white trim along the flouncy sleeves.
Her confident pose gave this dramatic dress the attention it deserved!
Rooney gave off a more romantic flair in a blush Alexander McQueen gown with tiered ruffles that made her look like a princess.
Unfortunately the makeup made her look a bit washed out, even with that deep red lipstick.
Well, she almost pulled it off!
